Cookies policy

LEGAL SCOPE The second paragraph of article 22 of Law 34/2002, of 11 July, on information society services and electronic commerce (hereinafter, LSSI), in relation to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council, of 27 April 2016, General Data Protection (hereinafter, RGPD) and Organic Law 3/2018, of 5 December, on Data Protection and guarantee of digital rights (hereinafter, LOPDGDD) establishes that Service providers may use data storage and retrieval devices on recipients’ terminal equipment, provided that the recipients have given their consent after having been provided with clear and complete information on their use, in particular, on the purposes of the data processing, in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Data Protection regulations. Where technically possible and effective, the consent of the recipient to accept the processing of the data may be provided through the use of appropriate browser settings or other applications. This shall not prevent the possible storage or access of a technical nature for the sole purpose of carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network or, to the extent strictly necessary, for the provision of an information society service expressly requested by the recipient. The GDPR, in recital 30, mentions these technologies and their impact on data protection, stating that Natural persons may be associated with online identifiers provided by their devices, applications, tools and protocols, such as internet protocol addresses, session identifiers in the form of cookies or other identifiers, such as radio frequency identification tags. This may leave traces which, in particular, when combined with unique identifiers and other data received by servers, can be used to profile and identify individuals. This cookie policy has been revised in accordance with the new rules on the use of cookies that the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) has published on 28 July 2020, amending the guidance on the use of cookies to adapt it to the guidelines on consent as amended in May 2020 by the European Data Protection Committee (ECDC) (Guidelines 05/2020) on consent. Specifically, it has taken technical measures to ensure that the “continue browsing” option is not configured as an option to obtain consent, and that no “cookie walls” are in place. In compliance with the established regulations, we indicate below the information relating to the “cookies” used. INFORMATION ON THE USE OF COOKIES We inform you that this website you have accessed ‘cookies’ own and third party to provide a better experience and service. When browsing or using our services the user does not accept the use we make of cookies, but your consent is collected expressly, and without blocking, if rejected, the ability to navigation. Cookies used for any of the following purposes are exempt from compliance with the obligations established in article 22.2 of the LSSI: To only allow communication between the user’s equipment and the network. Strictly to provide a service expressly requested by the user. WHAT IS A COOKIE? Cookies are small files that some platforms, such as websites, can install on your computer, smartphone, tablet, connected television, etc., when you access them. Their functions can be very varied: storing your browsing preferences, collecting statistical information, enabling certain technical functionalities, storing and retrieving information about the browsing habits or preferences of a user or their equipment to the point, sometimes, depending on the information they contain and the way you use your equipment, of being able to recognise you. A cookie is stored on a computer to personalise and facilitate the user’s browsing as much as possible. Cookies play a very important role in improving the experience of using the website. In other words, a cookie is a piece of information sent by a website and stored in the user’s browser, so that the website can consult the user’s previous activity. A cookie does not identify only one person, but may incorporate a computer-browser-user combination. WHAT THE WEBSITE USES COOKIES FOR Cookies are used to differentiate between users and to act differently depending on the user. One use of cookies is to identify yourself to a website. Users normally identify themselves by entering their credentials on a validation page; cookies allow the server to know that the user is already validated or browsing the website, and can therefore be allowed to access services or perform operations that are restricted to non-identified users. Why are they important?
  • From a technical point of view, they allow websites to work more agile and adapted to user preferences, such as storing the language, the country’s currency or detecting the access device.
  • They establish levels of protection and security that prevent or hinder cyber-attacks against the website or its users.
  • They allow media managers to obtain statistical data collected in the Cookies to improve the quality and experience of their services.
  • They serve to optimise the advertising that we show to users, offering the advertising that best suits their interests.
TYPES OF COOKIES Depending on the entity that manages the equipment or domain from which the cookies are sent and processes the data obtained, we can distinguish: First-party cookies: these are those that are sent to the user’s terminal equipment from a computer or domain managed by the editor itself and from which the service requested by the user is provided. Third-party cookies: these are those that are sent to the user’s terminal equipment from a computer or domain that is not managed by the editor, but by another entity that processes the data obtained through the cookies. In the event that the cookies are served from a computer or domain managed by the editor itself, but the information collected through these is managed by a third party, they cannot be considered as own cookies if the third party uses them for its own purposes (for example, the improvement of the services it provides or the provision of advertising services for other entities). Depending on the purpose for which the data obtained through the cookies are processed, the website may use: Technical cookies: are those that allow the user to navigate through a website, platform or application and the use of the different options or services that exist in it, including those that the editor uses to allow the management and operation of the website and enable its functions and services. Preference or personalisation cookies: these are cookies that enable information to be remembered so that the user can access the service with certain characteristics that may differentiate their experience from that of other users, such as, for example, the language, the number of results to be displayed when the user performs a search, the appearance or content of the service depending on the type of browser through which the user accesses the service or the region from which the user accesses the service, etc. Analysis or measurement cookies: these are cookies that allow the party responsible for them to monitor and analyse the behaviour of the users of the websites to which they are linked, including the quantification of the impact of advertisements. The information collected through this type of cookies is used to measure the activity of the websites, application or platform, in order to introduce improvements based on the analysis of the data on the use made by users of the service. Behavioural advertising cookies: these are cookies that store information on the behaviour of users obtained through the continuous observation of their browsing habits, which allows a specific profile to be developed in order to display advertising based on the same. Depending on the expiry date, the Cookies used may have the following types of expiry dates: Session Cookies: these are those designed to collect and store data while the user accesses a web page. They are usually used to store information that only needs to be kept for the provision of the service requested by the user on a single occasion (for example, a list of products purchased) and disappear at the end of the session. Persistent cookies: these are cookies in which the data remains stored in the terminal and can be accessed and processed for a period defined by the party responsible for the cookie, which can range from a few minutes to several years. This website uses both temporary session cookies and permanent cookies. In some cases, if you disable any of these cookies, you will not be able to receive our content and services correctly. In other cases, the website may continue to function. In any case, we wish to let you know that the information captured by these cookies on the use of our website and on the success of the advertisements displayed on it allows us to improve our services and obtain revenue that allows us to offer you many contents in a less onerous way.
